Gliadin

1997 - 2011

It is with sadness that I must report that Gliadin crossed Rainbow Bridge on March 3, 2011.  Glia seemed to have had a stroke or a brain lesion  She did not have good cognitive function and was not maintaining her weight.  They tried medication in hope of improvement, but she still became weaker.  They had her euthanized on March 3rd.  Gliadin had no other obvious health problems other than her kidney disease, which scientifically made her very important to their research.  At this time there is a lot of data being collected.  They can't give us much information yet about what has been determined from their research because they are not at an endpoint yet, since this is a longitudinal study.

A deep appreciation and thank you to all of you who contributed to help support our girl.  NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Dr. Vaden also want to express their thank you for our many years of support.
